The quickest way to get an IHI is online through your my Gov account. If you don’t have an account, it’s easy to create one on the Services Australia website.
You will need either your passport, with a valid Australian Visa, or your Australian driver licence.
These documents will be used to verify your identity and issue you an IHI.
